Educating Communities & Professionals
Knowledge builds safer communities.
Prevention doesn’t happen in isolation. It requires parents, caregivers, teachers, healthcare providers, social workers, child care professionals, faith leaders, and community members who understand how to recognize risk, strengthen protective factors, and respond with care.
Illuminate Colorado trains and equips professionals and community members across the state with research-informed tools and best practices. By building knowledge and skills at the community level, we create a shared understanding of prevention — one that shifts norms, strengthens responses, and promotes safe environments for children.

By strengthening partnerships, we reduce duplication, increase effectiveness, and ensure that families experience a more connected system of support.
