Under the guidance of the Strategic Initiatives Manager, the Strategic Initiatives Associate is responsible for managing logistics and coordinating tasks for coalitions and other collaborative spaces, with an emphasis on primary prevention of child maltreatment.

The Strategic Initaitives Associate will:

    • Provide meeting coordination and support for various collaborative spaces associated with the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (ECCS) grant and the Infant Safe Sleep Partnership and other Strategic Initiative efforts as needed.
    • Implement the Communications Plan for the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems grant.
    • Support statewide stakeholder outreach and orientation to the ECCS grant project. Stakeholders include state agencies, community partners, and families. 
    • Coordinate event planning and logistics for related meetings, summits, learning sessions, or other events.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • One to three years of coordination or administrative experience, including communications support experience.
  • Experience working with coalitions and/or community organizing experience.
  • Experience coordinating research projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, superior task management and organizational skills.
  • Passion for supporting collaborative processes. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Commitment to advancing social and racial equity through collective action.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain highly collaborative working relationships with individuals of diverse professional backgrounds, technical expertise, and lived experience. 
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with shared deadlines while being responsive to emergent needs. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and G Suite. 

Desirable: 

    • Experience and/or knowledge related to child maltreatment prevention, Strengthening Families protective factors, and/or maternal child health.
    • Experience working with a broad range of populations, particularly in a coalition capacity. 

Compensation and Schedule:

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. Starting salary is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience in the range of $40,000 – $50,000.

Under the guidance of the Director of Home Visitation, the Home Visiting Programs Manager will lead and support the State Intermediary functions related to planning, implementing, and monitoring the Family Connects model and Healthy Families America (HFA) in Colorado.

The Home Visitation Programs Manager will:

    • Support Family Connects and Healthy Families America State Intermediary Functions to plan, implement, monitor, and scale the Family Connects and Healthy Families America models in Colorado.
    • Partner with local implementing entities, state agency partners, and model purveyors (Family Connects International and Healthy Families America) to facilitate planning, implementation, certification, and technical assistance processes. 
    • Support implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of Illuminate’s overarching home visitation plan.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years experience with an evidence-based program. 
  • Training and/or practical experience with project management, community engagement, and facilitation. 
  • Proficient with database administration (Salesforce proficiency is highly desired but not required), including managing data entry workflows, dashboards, and reporting features of the system.
  • Understanding of community health systems and commonly used Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. 
  • Experience in data monitoring and reporting, including developing data collection processes, reviewing data and report submissions, and supporting data mobilization, learning, and improvement. 
  • Commitment to advancing social and racial equity through collective action
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage collaborative projects, including balancing deadlines with community processes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain highly collaborative working relationships with individuals of diverse professional backgrounds, technical expertise, and lived experience. 
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting environments, and shared decision making.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with shared deadlines while being responsive to emergent needs.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
  • Experience with Tableau, Alchemer (or other enhanced survey platform), Mailchimp, Canva, and/or Smartsheet is a plus.

Compensation and Schedule:

Full-time, salaried, exempt position eligible for benefits. Starting salary is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience in the range of $50,000 – $60,000.

Under the guidance of a Deputy Director, the Grants & Development Manager is a new position which will play a critical role in managing Illuminate Colorado’s resource development plan through grants and donor cultivation efforts. Working with relevant staff throughout the organization, the Grants & Development Manager will lead grant prospecting efforts, will facilitate grant writing for prospective and ongoing grants, and will ensure timely completion of grant reporting. Additionally, the Grants & Development Manager will manage individual donor cultivation activities, including fundraising events and volunteer opportunities.

The Grants & Development Manager will:

    • Manage all grant activity, including: achieving revenue targets and expanding partnerships, leading the development of accurate, detailed, and persuasive proposals within established deadlines, and researching and identifying grant funding sources that align with Illuminate’s mission, vision and goals, among other grant-related duties;
    • Manage the development and implementation of Illuminate Fundraising, Community Engagement, and Board-Driven events with support from the Executive Leadership team, Staff, Board, & Volunteers;
    • Manage donor database and information tracking processes regarding acknowledgement, recognition, on-going communications and continued cultivation of past and current donors and members to enhance their relationship with Illuminate.

    • Three to five years of experience, with a proven aptitude for grant prospecting, submission, and reporting as well as management of small and large events.
    • Experience with donor database management.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain highly collaborative working relationships with individuals of diverse professional backgrounds, technical expertise, and lived experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage collaborative projects and timelines, including balancing deadlines with input.

Under the guidance of a Deputy Director, the Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, facilitation, and ongoing coordination of multiple coalitions working to positively impact children & families within Colorado. This position will serve as a member of the Leadership Team and ensure initiatives are responsive to current needs, aligned with organizational mission, and set up for success in the future.

The Director of Strategic Initiatives will:

    • Ensure that all Coalitions & Organizational Practice Change Initiatives that Illuminate convenes are guided by strategic planning, use inclusive processes, and measure toward collective impact;
    • Offer leadership and supervision to the Strategic Initiatives Team;
    • Support the development of funding applications and reporting requirements; and Offer coalition management and facilitation to the Colorado Infant Safe Sleep Partnership.

    Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

      • At least five years of coalition management, community organizing, and/or facilitation experience
      • Passion for facilitating collaborative processes
      • Commitment to advancing social and racial equity through collective action
      • Experience and/or knowledge of the Collective Impact Model

      • Experience managing staff and leading teams

    Under the guidance of a Deputy Director, the Policy Manager will lead implementation of organizational policy activities by ensuring the organization’s policy priorities are thoroughly researched, policy developments are monitored, and our advocacy partners view us as valuable and supportive partners.

    The Policy Manager will:

      • Develop and maintain policy research and analysis in the form of strategy screens, briefs, and concept papers;
      • Maintain internal bill tracking; staff legislative hearings and testify as needed;
      • Create fact sheets and secure endorsements;
      • Draft and coordinate testimony and public comments;
      • Manage communications for policy stakeholder processes;
      • Draft Illuminate’s policy communication content;
      • And participate in policy coalitions on behalf of Illuminate.

    Additionally, the Policy Manager will coordinate event planning for related summits, trainings, or other events; support the Executive Leadership Team in responding to new requests and/or providing research support as needed; and support coalitions convened by Illuminate in policy research and monitoring, as needed.

        • One to four years of legislative advocacy, political campaigns, policy research, and/or community organizing experience
