Luminary Lift Up

December 1, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Start your day in a positive way with Jade Woodard, executive director of Illuminate Colorado.

Zoom In on Social Connections

Hear from parents about how social connections have made a difference in their lives. We’ll be talking about Circle of Parents Colorado, which provides a friendly, supportive environment led by parents and other caregivers, where parents are the experts. From parent participants to our Circle of Parents Program Manager, learn how Circle of Parents groups build social connections.

Get a Sneak Peak at Colorado Connected

Another way we’ll be strengthening social connections in the coming year is through Colorado Connected, a campaign to build social connections among parents and community support for families in Colorado. Take the first look at campaign materials and learn how we’ll be encouraging all Coloradans to build a network of family and friends who provide the support that keep families strong.

Strengthening Families

When parents, family, friends, neighbors and employers increase five protective factors in families’ lives, that is when we strengthen families, we prevent child abuse and build brighter childhoods.

  • Parental Resilience
  • Social Connections
  • Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development
  • Concrete Support in Times of Need
  • Social and Emotional Competence of Children

By making a recurring gift that we can count on to strengthen our programs and advocacy year-round, Luminaries provide the stable and consistent support we need to grow and strengthen families, organizations and communities to prevent child maltreatment. We can’t thank our Luminaries enough.

Meet new Luminaries every quarter during our Luminary Lift Up or fundraising events and find out what people, like you, are doing to strengthen families in Colorado throughout the year!
