The Community Coordinator is key in implementing and sustaining Zero to Three’s Safe Babies Court Team approach. In an effort to improve responsiveness to the needs of young children and their families, Illuminate Colorado’s Community Coordinator will collaborate with the judicial and child welfare leadership, community partners, and other stakeholders to support Larimer County’s Safe Babies Court Team (SBCT) initiative.

Duties of the Safe Babies Community Coordinator include:

    • Provide case management services to families involved in the SBCT approach.
    • Lead Community Engagement activities related to SBCT.
    • Inform state level implementation and systems improvement.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or closely related field (preference for eligibility for license under DORA for clinical services)
  • Professional experience focused on providing direct services for vulnerable young children and their families, including understanding the impact of trauma on families with very young children
  • Experience with community organizing, planning, administration, stakeholder engagement, and program development and evaluation
  • Knowledge of local community resources and systems, including early care and education, maternal and child health, social determinants of health, mental health, child welfare, early intervention, juvenile and family courts, and behavioral health
  • Capacity to work with people of diverse educational, professional, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with lived expertise and a commitment to advancing social and racial equity
  • Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
  • Mode of reliable transportation for local and state travel
  • Ability to travel locally, throughout Colorado, and nationally, as assigned
  • Must be an effective public speaker
  • Must be competent with technology, able to work with multiple platforms/databases, and integrate various technologies in daily work
  • Ability to collect and enter a variety of data accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary team settings
  • Ability to work in family homes, community settings, and personal home office

Desirable:

        • Licensed or eligible for licensure under DORA for clinical services

Compensation and Schedule:

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. Starting salary is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience in the range of $55,000 – $65,000. 

Illuminate Colorado offers health and dental benefits as well as participation in a 401K and Life Insurance benefits. In addition, Illuminate Colorado has an unlimited paid time off policy and offers both flexible scheduling and remote work.

This position is hybrid with some home office opportunities. However, in-person work throughout locations in Larimer County on a close to daily basis is anticipated.

Residency in Colorado, or anticipated relocation to Colorado in the near future (at your own expense), is a condition of employment with Illuminate.
