1-844-CO-4-KIDS is the Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline. The line is available 24 hours a day, every day. Anyone witnessing a child in a life threatening situation should call 911 immediately. You are not required to provide proof. Anyone who makes a good faith report based on reasonable grounds is immune from prosecution. For more information, visit co4kids.org.
Some people are obligated by law in Colorado to report known or suspected incidents of child abuse and/or neglect. These mandatory reporters are part of the safety net that protects children and youth and have the ability to provide lifesaving help to child victims in our community.
